Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport (GDN)

The answer
Take the PKM train from the station in front of the terminal: 8.50 zł for the Gdańsk city ticket, about 20 minutes to Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, then change to the SKM from platform 3 for Gdańsk Główny or Gdańsk Śródmieście.
The airport sits on the regional rail network, not a dead-end spur, so the fare is an ordinary Taryfa Pomorska ticket with no airport surcharge — and the train ignores the traffic that clogs ul. Słowackiego.
Only 4.80 zł? Bus 210 runs direct between the terminal and Dworzec Główny in about 40 minutes, no change.
Landing after 23:30? The last train towards Gdańsk goes just after 23:30 and the next is at 03:56 — the N3 night bus covers 23:00–04:00 at 4.80 zł.

🚆 Every way out — real prices

PKM / POLREGIO train from Gdańsk Port Lotniczy BEST FOR MOST
8.50 zł
The station is in front of the terminal, also reached by a covered footbridge from inside the building, with ticket machines on the platforms. The 8.50 zł Gdańsk city ticket (bilet jednorazowy miejski) covers the whole trip to Gdańsk Główny or Gdańsk Śródmieście including the change at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, where the SKM to the centre leaves from platform 3. About 20 minutes to Wrzeszcz; direct trains also run to Sopot, Gdynia, Kartuzy and Kościerzyna. Buy at the platform machine (cash or card), in the POLREGIO app or through FALA.
ZTM buses 210, 110 and 120
4.80 zł
All city buses leave from the stop opposite the terminal beside car park P1, so there is no walk with luggage. Line 210 runs Dworzec Główny – Osowa PKP and takes about 40 minutes from central Gdańsk; line 110 reaches Wrzeszcz PKP in about 25–35 minutes; line 120 runs to the Łostowice Świętokrzyska loop via Jasień, Matarnia and Kokoszki in 50–60 minutes. One 4.80 zł ticket, from the stop machine, an app or FALA.
Night bus N3
4.80 zł
The only public transport in the small hours: N3 runs 23:00–04:00 from Dworzec Główny through the centre and Jasień to the airport, then back to Wrzeszcz PKP — about 50 minutes from Dworzec Główny, almost 20 from Wrzeszcz. Departures are roughly hourly.
24-hour metropolitan rail-and-city ticket
30 zł
The only ticket that covers both the train and the buses and trams: 30 zł for 24 hours of SKM and POLREGIO trains plus all ZTM Gdańsk vehicles, or 34 zł to add Gdynia and Wejherowo. The 24-hour ZTM ticket alone is 22 zł but is not valid on trains.
Taxi from the airport rank
≈65–70 zł day
Neptun Taxi is the operator the airport lists as its partner. Its meter is 9 zł to start plus 3.90 zł/km by day and 5.85 zł/km at night, inside the city's legal ceiling of 4 zł/km by day and 6 zł/km at night, Sundays and holidays. The run to the centre is about 15 km, so roughly 65–70 zł by day and 95–100 zł at night. Neptun's own pre-booked airport transfer is a flat 99 zł by day and 120 zł at night — dearer than the meter.
Uber / Bolt
≈45–70 zł
Both apps operate across the Tricity and usually undercut the rank, but the airport's own transport pages list only car, bus, train, minibus and taxi — no published rideshare bay, so follow the app pin, not the taxi rank. Prices are dynamic.

⚠️ The traps (walk past these)

The train does not run into the centre — you change at Wrzeszcz

The airport's own page is explicit: you can reach Gdańsk Główny or Gdańsk Śródmieście, but the trip requires a change at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, where the SKM to the centre leaves from platform 3. Stay on board and you are heading for Gdynia or Kartuzy.

Do this: get off at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz and go to platform 3 for the SKM towards the centre
The 4.80 zł bus ticket is not valid on the train

The 4.80 zł single and the 22 zł 24-hour ZTM ticket cover buses and trams only — not SKM or POLREGIO trains. The rail ticket from the airport is 8.50 zł, and the only product that covers both is the 24-hour rail-and-city ticket at 30 zł (34 zł for all three cities).

Do this: buy the 30 zł rail-and-city ticket if you plan to mix train and tram, or pay for the two separately
Nothing runs between 00:25 and 03:56

The last train towards Gdańsk Wrzeszcz leaves the airport just after 23:30; the only later departure, at 00:25, goes away to Gdynia via Osowa. The next train is at 03:56. A late arrival that budgeted 8.50 zł faces a taxi at several times the price.

Do this: plan the N3 night bus (23:00–04:00, 4.80 zł) or a taxi if you land after 23:30
A flat taxi quote is capped at 4 zł/km — and the 'airport transfer' is dearer than the meter

Gdańsk's maximum fare is 9 zł to start plus 4 zł/km by day (Monday–Saturday 06:00–22:00) and 6 zł/km at night, on Sundays and holidays, with waiting at 50 zł/h; the cap was set to stop dishonest metering. Neptun Taxi, the airport's listed partner, charges a flat 99 zł day and 120 zł night for a pre-booked transfer, while its own meter comes to about 68 zł for the run into town.

Do this: ask for the meter, check it starts at 9 zł on taryfa 1 in the day, and refuse any flat price above the city's per-kilometre ceiling
