The answer
Order Bolt or inDrive — ₦10,000–25,000 to Victoria Island (app-quoted range), 45 min–2.5 hrs with Lagos traffic — while FAAN's 2026 airport car-hire desk starts near ₦20,000 and is negotiated.
Uber exited Nigeria on 2 Sep 2026 and FAAN briefly suspended the other apps at airports before clearing Bolt to resume; the apps still show a price up front, the rank just quotes one.
Late-night landing? Pre-booked transfer ₦25,000–45,000 to V.I. with a name board — the most reliable ride after midnight.
Only as far as Ikeja? inDrive bids have settled near ₦6,100 where the rank asked ₦30,000.

🚕 Every way out — real prices

Bolt / inDrive BEST FOR MOST
≈ ₦10,000–25,000 to Victoria Island (flagged range)
Bolt is Nigeria's most-used app (Uber left in Sep 2026); inDrive lets you bid. Card in-app. Pickup arrangements at the airport have shifted all year — drivers meet at parking outside the FAAN perimeter; expect cancellations at peak.
Official car-hire desk (ACHRAMS rank)
≈ ₦20,000–40,000 to the Island (flagged range)
FAAN's Airport Car Hire Rank Management System dispatches the rank cars. Its posted grid: ₦10,000–20,000 to the city centre, ₦20,000–30,000 to suburbs. Cash; FAAN says these are the pre-existing airport taxi rates, now made visible.
Pre-booked private transfer / hotel shuttle
≈ ₦25,000–45,000 to V.I. (flagged range)
Fixed quote paid or agreed before you land, meet-and-greet with flight tracking. The standard choice for night arrivals and first-timers; hotel shuttles (where offered) book through your reservation.
Minibus + BRT via Oshodi
≈ ₦1,000–2,500 total (flagged range)
No bus serves the terminal directly: hop to the Airport/Ikeja road or Mafoluku, then yellow danfo or LAMATA BRT toward Oshodi, then bridge again. 2+ hrs with luggage; 2026 guides advise against it for visitors.
Rental car
Agency quoted
Desks at both complexes; only sensible if you're driving out of Lagos — self-drive in city traffic is a separate skill.

⚠️ The traps (walk past these)

The ₦30,000 quote for a 20-minute drive

A creator's viral video (Aug 2026) showed the ACHRAMS desk quoting ₦30,000 from the airport to Radisson Blu Ikeja — 4–9 km the app does for ₦6,000–8,000. FAAN's own answer: those were existing rank rates.

Do this: open Bolt/inDrive before you join the rank queue — or book a fixed transfer
Booking Uber, which no longer exists here

Uber wound down Nigeria on 2 September 2026; guides older than that still say 'Uber works at LOS'. Bolt and inDrive are the apps — and even Bolt was briefly suspended from FAAN forecourts in July before an agreement restored it.

Do this: install and pre-verify Bolt (and inDrive) with your card before you fly
The driver who reprices once you're in

Airport pressure makes some drivers demand more than the shown fare — press samples: app said ₦13,000, driver asked ₦25,000 'for the risk'. Paying cash invites the requote.

Do this: pay in-app, and get out if the driver renegotiates after pickup
Landing at the wrong complex

International arrivals use MMA1, domestic MMA2 — roughly a kilometre of traffic between them. A transfer sent to the wrong side is a wasted hour.

Do this: confirm the complex with your airline and name it to your driver
