Larnaca International Airport (LCA)

The answer
Take bus 425, the official Airport/Hotel line, from outside arrivals into Larnaca — Finikoudes promenade and the Central Bus Station — for €2.70 in cash to the driver or €2.00 with a Motion card, roughly every 20–30 minutes through the day, about 20–25 minutes.
It is the only public line mapped by Cyprus Public Transport for the airport-to-town hop, and even after the 3 August 2026 fare rise it costs a tenth of the statutory €50 taxis to the other cities.
Strand or mountain hotels? The Limassol Airport Express runs direct to Limassol for €10 (€5 children), with timetables aligned to flights.
Four of you going far? Airport taxis charge a fixed by-law price: Nicosia €50, Ayia Napa €50, Limassol €55, Protaras €55, Paphos €105 — up to 4 passengers, luggage and VAT included.

🚌 Every way out — real prices

Bus 425 into Larnaca (Finikoudes / Central Bus Station) BEST FOR MOST
€2.70 cash / €2.00 Motion
Cyprus Public Transport's own Larnaca map calls it the 'Route 425 Hotel/Airport Service': terminal → town along the sea (Finikoudes) → Central Bus Station → Dhekelia hotel strip. Daytime fare €2.70 paper to the driver, €2.00 on a Motion card or e-wallet; after 21:00 it is €4.70 cash / €3.50 card (night window 21:00–04:00). About 20–25 minutes to the town end; published timetables show service from early morning until about an hour before midnight, roughly every 20–30 minutes.
Buses 427 / 429 (town loop and Faros link)
€2.70 cash / €2.00 Motion
Other city lines that touch the airport stop: 427 loops Larnaca Station–Municipal Park–Airport (06:00–23:00, about every 45 min on public timetables) and 429 links the airport with the station via Meneou and the lighthouse area. Same urban fare book as 425.
Limassol Airport Express
€10 adult / €5 child
Direct, non-stop-ish coach between Larnaca airport and Limassol (one extra stop in the Limassol tourist area opposite the St Raphael hotel), with departures aligned to flight schedules and free parking at its Agios Georgios Havouzas station. Book online with the operator.
Official airport taxi (fixed by law)
€15 town · €25–30 Dhekelia · €50–105 other cities
Taxis queue on the right as you exit Arrivals at Level 0, 24 hours. Fares are the published airport price list set under regulation Κ.Δ.Π. 79/2021 and are the same on public holidays, VAT and luggage included: Larnaca (Finikoudes) €15 day and night (up to 4), Dhekelia/Pyla/Alaminos €25, Nicosia €50, Ayia Napa €50, Limassol €55, Protaras €55, Paphos €105, Troodos €85; 5–6 seaters pay a higher fixed row (e.g. €20 town, €160 Paphos).
Ride-hailing (Bolt)
app price
App rides operate from the airport but are NOT bound by the statutory fixed fare list — what the app quotes is what you pay. Useful for comparing against the €15 town / €50 Nicosia legal taxi prices.

⚠️ The traps (walk past these)

Every €2.40 bus fare you read online expired on 3 August 2026

Cyprus Public Transport raised urban singles from €2.40 to €2.70 cash (€1.80 → €2.00 by Motion card; night card €2.60 → €3.50, night cash to €4.70). Guides and aggregator pages still print the old numbers — budget the new table.

Do this: tap a Motion card (€2.00) or carry €2.70 — and ignore blogs quoting €1.50–2.40
At this rank the law fixes BOTH ends of the price

The airport's own taxi pricelist carries this warning verbatim: 'It is illegal to be charged either higher or lower from the predefined charges.' A driver at the rank offering to 'do Larnaca for €10' or asking €30 for the town is going off the statutory list — and an off-list deal is your problem if anything goes wrong.

Do this: photograph the pricelist at the rank, quote the printed zone price, and insist on a receipt
No airport bus goes straight to Ayia Napa, Nicosia or Paphos

The routes that serve the airport (425/427/429) are all Larnaca city lines. To anything else you either change at the Central Bus Station in town, take the €10 Limassol Airport Express, or book a private shuttle (the airport lists Kapnos to Nicosia/Larnaca/Ayia Napa/Protaras/Paphos — but its prices only appear inside the booking flow, so do not assume a published flat fare).

Do this: book the express or shuttle before landing, or budget €2.70 + intercity from the central station
After 21:00 the bus nearly doubles — and taxis flip at 20:30

Cyprus Public Transport charges a night single of €4.70 cash / €3.50 card between 21:00 and 04:00. The taxi law's 'night' clock is different: fixed fares step up at 20:30 (town €15 → the pricelist's night column, long legs +€5–25). Landing at an evening charter time means two different surcharge systems run at half-hour's difference.

Do this: know which clock you're on — 20:30 for taxis, 21:00 for buses
