The answer
The posted MAD 30 Bus 19 runs from the terminal to Jemaa el-Fna every 20–30 minutes — and the ticket includes a free return journey valid 15 days.
It's the one Marrakesh airport price printed at the stop with zero negotiation, and the free return quietly halves your round trip.
With luggage? Rank taxi at the posted flat ≈ MAD 100 to the medina/Guéliz (+50% after 20:00).
No haggle at all? Pre-booked transfer, fixed ≈ 150–250 MAD per car.

🚌 Every way out — real prices

Bus 19 airport line BEST FOR MOST
MAD 30 (free return within 15 days)
Departs from the stop outside the terminal — the real stop is across the parking lot, not where the 'Bus' signs point (that's tour coaches). Every 20–30 min, roughly 06:00–23:30, Avenue Mohammed VI → Hivernage/Guéliz → Jemaa el-Fna area, 35–50 min. Cash MAD to the driver or the booth; luggage goes in the under-floor hold. Keep the stub — it buys your return trip.
Official rank taxi
≈ MAD 100 flat to the medina/Guéliz (day)
2026 reports put the posted rank tariff at 70–100 MAD (≈120 to Guéliz per one rate card, +10 for luggage after 21:00); the legal night supplement is +50% after 20:00. Kerb touts outside arrivals routinely quote 200–300 for the identical trip.
Ride-hailing apps
≈ MAD 50–100, fixed in-app
Careem, inDrive, Heetch and Yango all operate at RAK with app-fixed prices; pickups are in the car park. Compare the app quote with the yellow tariff board at the rank and take the cheaper wait.
Pre-booked private transfer
MAD 150–250 per car
Driver with a name board in arrivals, price fixed before you fly and unchanged by hour or traffic — the sane pick after a night flight or with more than one big bag. Note: no car reaches a riad door; you walk the last hundred metres either way.
Grand taxi (shared/charter)
MAD 150–250 for the whole car
The big beige cars fit up to 4–6 passengers — split between four people it undercuts a private transfer with none of the booking. Unmetered and less regulated: agree the price firmly before loading luggage.

⚠️ The traps (walk past these)

'Bus 19 costs 50 MAD' — it doesn't

A wave of 2026 articles claims the airport bus now costs 50 MAD. An on-the-ground May-2026 fare check says the price is 30 MAD, printed at the stop and on the bus — with the free 15-day return still included.

Do this: pay 30 and point at the posted fare board if anyone pushes
ALSA lost the city — December 2025

Marrakesh's whole bus network moved from ALSA (26 years) to ONCF subsidiary Supratours on 11 December 2025: 67 renumbered lines, and a MAD 5 city fare held only until AFCON wrapped. Old ALSA-based guides show wrong line numbers.

Do this: verify the airport line number and fare at the stop board — but 2026 reports still price it at 30
The kerb quote: 200–300 MAD for a 100 MAD ride

Since 2023 Menara has run a prepaid taxi counter just right of the arrivals exit — pay a fixed fare by cash or card, get a receipt with a taxi number, no haggling. Travellers who skip it and negotiate at the kerb consistently pay two to three times that.

Do this: use the prepaid counter or the queue with the tariff board — never load bags first
The night surcharge is legal; his 'airport fee' isn't

After 20:00 a +50% supplement is official policy, so a 70–100 MAD day fare legitimately becomes 100–150. Anything added beyond that — fuel, toll, 'airport' fees — is invention.

Do this: agree the final number in MAD before moving and pay exactly that
