Oslo Lufthavn, Gardermoen (OSL)

Last verified: October 2026 · Confirmed by travelers this month: 0

The answer
Take the ordinary Vy train (lines R12, RE10 or RE11) from the station under the terminal to Oslo S on a four-zone Ruter ticket at 134 kr. It uses the same station as the 276 kr Flytoget and takes about four minutes longer.
Oslo Lufthavn sits in Ruter zone 4N and an ordinary Ruter ticket is valid on the Vy trains that call there, so the airport run costs the same as any four-zone journey in the region instead of the express operator's premium.
Travelling with children? Under-16s ride the Flytoget free with an adult, and children and seniors pay 64 kr on the four-zone Ruter ticket.
Late landing? Flybussen Connect coaches serve the centre, 279 kr booked online but 319 kr from the driver.

🚆 Every way out — real prices

Vy train (R12, RE10, RE11) on a Ruter ticket BEST FOR MOST
134 kr
The station is under the terminal - follow the 'Tog' signs. A four-zone Ruter single ticket is 134 kr (46 kr buys one zone), is valid for 150 minutes and covers metro, tram, bus and Vy's trains in Oslo and Akershus. About 23 minutes to Oslo S. Buy it in the Ruter or Vy app or at the ordinary machines; it is not valid on the Flytoget.
Flytoget airport express
276 kr
Every 10 minutes, 19 minutes to Oslo S, and on to Nationaltheatret, Skoyen, Lysaker, Sandvika, Asker and Drammen (342 kr). Half price (138 kr) for students, youth 16-20, over-67s and conscripts with ID; children under 16 travel free with an adult. Flytoget has been part of the Vy group since 31 March 2025 and still sells its own tickets and its own machines.
Flybussen Connect coach (FB1, FB3, FB5)
279-319 kr
Adult 279 kr on flybussen.no, 289 kr from the ticket machine in the arrivals hall or at platform 11, 319 kr from the driver; return 449 kr and a 30-day pass 1,800 kr. Up to two children aged 6-17 travel free with an adult fare and under-6s are free. 45-65 minutes to the city centre: slower than the train and, bought online, barely cheaper.
Fixed-price taxi from the rank
729-1,049 kr
Oslo Taxi's published fixed prices from the airport run from 729 kr (innermost zone, 1-4 passengers) to 1,049 kr, plus 300 kr outside Mon-Fri 06:00-17:00 and 400 kr on public holidays. Order at the taxi booking machine outside the terminal at ground level, beside the pick-up area: Avinor says the car normally arrives in 3-5 minutes and the machine lists prices to most Eastern Norway addresses.
Bolt (fixed airport price) / Uber
600-710 kr
Bolt publishes fixed prices from the airport: 600 kr to the south, 650 kr north and east, 670 kr to the centre, 710 kr west, 780 kr Baerum, 910 kr Asker and 1,160 kr Drammen, with tolls added automatically. Uber quotes in the app and publishes no airport tariff. Both pick up at the app pick-up points, not at the taxi rank.

⚠️ The traps (walk past these)

The 276 kr express and the 134 kr ordinary train leave from the same station

Flytoget's machines and desk are what you meet first, and the airport sells the express as the fastest way in. The Vy trains on lines R12, RE10 and RE11 use the same station under the terminal and cost 134 kr on a four-zone Ruter ticket - 142 kr less per person for a journey four minutes longer. Flytoget's own conditions say its ticket is not valid on other lines, and a Ruter ticket is not valid on the Flytoget.

Do this: walk past the Flytoget machines and buy a four-zone Ruter ticket in the Ruter or Vy app before boarding the ordinary train
The national cap on taxi prices ended on 15 January 2026

The temporary maximum prices for street-hailed taxis were not renewed, so a hailed car at the airport charges its own tariff. Reported cases at Gardermoen include 3,700 kr for a 4.4 km ride and a 21,230 kr charge into the city. Avinor's own taxi page warns against getting into a taxi without pre-booking, or making a deal with a driver inside or outside the terminal.

Do this: order at the booking machine outside the terminal or in an app, and fix the total price before the car moves
Buying the coach from the driver costs 40 kr more

The same adult seat is 279 kr on flybussen.no, 289 kr at the ticket machine and 319 kr from the driver, per the operator's price table valid from 1 April 2026. On Vy, buying on board adds a 40 kr surcharge at any station that has a ticket machine - and Oslo Lufthavn has machines.

Do this: buy in the app or on the website before boarding, and check the ticket is valid on the operator you are actually boarding
A city ticket does not reach the airport

Oslo Lufthavn is in Ruter zone 4N, not zone 1. A one-zone ticket (46 kr) or a day pass bought for the city stops short: the airport needs a four-zone ticket at 134 kr, or an add-on for the missing zones if you already hold a period ticket.

Do this: buy four zones, or the extra-zone add-on, before you board at Oslo S
