The answer
Take the TUSSAM EA bus (Especial Aeropuerto) from outside arrivals — €6.00 single, €8.00 return, about 35 minutes to Plaza de Armas, with stops at Santa Justa, San Bernardo and Prado de San Sebastián.
There is no rail link to Seville airport at all, and the taxi runs on a closed fare rather than a meter: €26 on a weekday daytime, €29 at every other hour and all weekend. Two people travelling together are still cheaper on the bus.
Two or more with bags? The taxi is a flat €26 (Monday–Friday 07:00–21:00) or €29, charged per vehicle rather than per person, and takes 15–20 minutes — for a family of four it beats four bus tickets.
Riding a lot this month? The €24.60 monthly airport card pays for itself at four return journeys.
⚠️ The traps (walk past these)
The €4 bus fare every guide still prints
The EA single is €6.00, not €4. TUSSAM added a €1 airport supplement in 2025 and kept it for 2026, and the company confirmed it is holding all urban fares this year — so €6.00 single and €8.00 return is the current number, while a lot of transfer guides are still quoting the old price.
Do this: budget €6 each way, or buy the €8 return if you are flying home from Seville
The taxi fare depends on the day, not the distance
The flat airport fare is €26 only Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 21:00. Every other hour, the entire weekend and every public holiday it is €29 — and Holy Week, the April Fair and 24 and 31 December have their own windows. A Saturday midday arrival pays the higher rate, not the weekday one.
Do this: expect €29 if you land at the weekend, at night, or during Holy Week or the Feria
The €6 EA ticket buys one ride and no transfer
TUSSAM's own fare notice carries an asterisk against the EA single: the transfer from this line to any other line of the network is not valid. The airport fare is also outside the tourist cards. Arrive at Plaza de Armas or Prado expecting to change onto a city bus and you buy a second ticket.
Do this: if you are changing buses, buy a multi-trip card as well, or walk from whichever EA stop is nearest your hotel
There is no train, whatever your app says
San Pablo airport has no railway station and no metro. The Santa Justa AVE station is 8 km away in the city and the EA bus stops there — but the airport itself is served only by the bus and by taxis. Guides that list a 'train to the airport' are confusing Seville with Málaga or Barcelona.
Do this: plan on the EA bus or a taxi; do not buy a rail ticket expecting to arrive at the terminal
The driver who starts the meter
Seville's airport fare is closed, not metered. If a driver runs the meter on an airport-to-city trip the total will drift above the regulated €26 or €29, and the fare table printed in the car is the thing to point at.
Do this: confirm the flat fare before you get in, and ask for the receipt — Aena recommends it for any complaint
