Split Airport's To & from page points 'Direct Shuttle Bus Line' at Pleso Prijevoz — but Pleso ended its Split route on 1 February 2026, and its timetable now lists only Zagreb (and Rijeka) services. The official licensed shuttle at SPU is now Platanus, €10, from the P1 booth. Waiting at an empty Pleso desk wastes the one bus that was timed to your flight.
On Promet line 37 the official fare list prices the same ticket at €1.75 via app, machine, online or value card but €3.50 when bought from the driver. And boarding without a validated ticket is expensive: the additional ticket a controller sells you on the spot costs €20 — also in the official price list.
Promet single tickets are time-valid from first validation, and the tier prices are tied to distance — the €1.75 app ticket from the airport zone lasts 75 minutes. The 37 ride to Split is 50–60 minutes in free flow, but a July afternoon crawl through Kaštela can push it past the limit; the €3.50 driver ticket is valid 135 minutes.
SPU sits in Kaštel Štafilić, 20 km west of Split (6 km from Trogir). The shuttle's only city stop is the main bus station on Obala Kneza Domagoja — a 5-minute walk to the ferry port and old town, but the wrong end of town if your apartment is on Žnjan or Bačvice, and the suburban 37 terminates at the eastern edge. Nothing drops luggage inside the old town streets.
