The Israel Airports Authority notice (24 June 2026): Terminal 1 resumed domestic flights on 28 June and reopened for international departures on 1 July 2026, with full check-in, security, passport control and duty-free there. Arrivals still come into T3, and some airlines run from both — the old 'always T3' rule will send you to the wrong building on departure day.
Trains do not run from Friday morning until Saturday evening, and line 445 also excludes that window. A Friday-afternoon landing has taxis, Gett and pre-booked cars only — at Tel-Aviv-flat-NIS-150-plus prices, surging into Shabbat.
The city page is explicit: after midnight the train stops only at Tel Aviv-HaHagana and Savidor Center. A red-eye landing aimed at HaShalom or University arrives at the wrong neighborhood and pays a further city cab.
The IAA's own aeronautical page lists just Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Pre-2025 guides, PDFs and forum posts pointing to 'the T2 bus station' describe a closed building; anyone quoting fares from there is guessing.
