Antalya Airport (AYT)

The answer
Take the AntRay T1A tram from the Havalimani stop outside Terminal 1 - ₺42.00 on an Antalyakart, or ₺50.00 if you tap a bank card, about 30-40 minutes into the centre with a stop at the intercity bus terminal on the way.
T1A is the only tram line that serves the airport, it runs on its own track past the worst of the traffic, and at ₺42 it costs a tenth of a taxi to Kaleici.
Tight budget? The tram with an Antalyakart is ₺42.00 against roughly ₺690-900 for the same trip by taxi.
Arriving at Terminal 2? The tram does not stop there - take the free ring shuttle to Terminal 1 first, which runs from in front of the departures sections.

🚊 Every way out — real prices

AntRay T1A tram with an Antalyakart BEST FOR MOST
₺42.00
The Havalimani stop is directly outside Terminal 1, a short walk from arrivals, and T1A is the only tram line that serves the airport - it runs towards Fatih through Meydan, Isiklar, Otogar (the intercity bus station) and Ismetpasa in the centre, taking about 30-40 minutes. The full fare is ₺42.00 with an Antalyakart and there are no cash fares: you tap through the turnstile. Transfers are free onto a bus 5-60 minutes after tapping and between tram lines 5 minutes to 2 hours.
Contactless bank card on the same tram
₺50.00
Contactless bank and credit cards work at the turnstile, which saves buying the ₺100 plastic Antalyakart for a short visit. The price is ₺50.00 instead of ₺42.00 - ₺8 more per person - and a bank card gets no transfer right, so any onward connection is charged again in full.
Disposable Kullan-At tickets
₺46.00-₺250
Single-use disposable tickets are ₺46.00 for one ride, ₺112.00 for two and ₺250.00 for five, sold from the card machines and dealers. Like a bank card, they carry no transfer right and cannot be topped up, so they only make sense for a group sharing one card over a few days.
City bus on the same corridor
₺42.00
Antobus city buses cover the same corridor between the airport, the intercity bus terminal and the centre on the identical Antalyakart fare of ₺42.00, with the same free-transfer rules. They stop more often than the tram and have no luggage provision, which is why the tram is the better default.
Taxi from the official rank
₺690-₺900
Taxis rank outside the terminals and run on a city meter set by UKOME: opening ₺50, ₺50 per kilometre and a ₺200 short-distance minimum under the March 2026 decision. Central Antalya and Kaleici are about 13-15 km, so roughly ₺690-900 depending on the exact address and traffic. Some published lists still show a ₺40 opening, so check the fare board beside the rank before you get in.

⚠️ The traps (walk past these)

International flights now use Terminal 2, and the tram does not go there

All international flights operate from Terminal 2, the airport announced the move for 27 October 2025 - and the tram stop sits opposite Terminal 1. Every guide still describing a T1/T2 split by airline is out of date. The airport runs a free ring shuttle between International Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the Domestic Terminal, from stops in front of the departures sections.

Do this: landing at Terminal 2, take the free ring shuttle to Terminal 1 before looking for the tram
Tapping a bank card costs ₺8 more and kills the free transfer

The tram fare is ₺42.00 with an Antalyakart but ₺50.00 tapping a contactless bank card, and the free transfer right applies only to Antalyakart: a bank card or a disposable ticket pays full fare again on every onward bus or tram. Two people on a bank card pay ₺100 for the airport ride alone.

Do this: work out whether the ₺100 card pays for itself before defaulting to your bank card
Only T1A serves the airport, and it has two airport stops

T1B runs to EXPO and Aksu and T1C to Aksu; neither reaches the terminal, so a tram showing EXPO is not yours. The airport itself has two stops - Havalimani (Giden Yolcu) for departing passengers and Havalimani (Gelen Yolcu) for arriving passengers - which is why the walk from arrivals and the walk to check-in are not the same walk.

Do this: board only a T1A towards Fatih, and check which Havalimani stop you are at
The taxi meter's minimum makes short hops expensive

The UKOME tariff in force since March 2026 is ₺50 opening plus ₺50 per kilometre with a ₺200 minimum, so a 3 km ride to a nearby hotel still bills ₺200. Some published fare lists still show a ₺40 opening from the previous tariff, and the resort districts run on a higher scale again - so the number on the board at the rank is the one that counts.

Do this: read the fare board beside the rank and expect the ₺200 minimum on short trips
The tram is a city tram with no luggage space

AntRay has no racks and no hold, and the operator's own carriage rules cap hand-carried items at 25 kg and ban anything bulky enough to obstruct other passengers. At peak times a family with four large cases on a T1A is a problem, not a plan.

Do this: take a taxi or a transfer if you are travelling with large cases at peak hours
