The answer
Take an AERO bus from outside arrivals. The whole network was rebuilt on 1 April 2026 and the old L-numbers no longer exist: AERO 3 runs express to Ibiza Town (Isidor Macabich / Port) for €3.50 by card or QR, €4.90 in cash.
Five AERO lines now fan out from the airport to every resort on the island, they are by far the cheapest way off the tarmac, and paying by card instead of cash saves €1.40 on every ticket.
Tight budget? Pay by bank card or the Mobi4U QR code, never cash — the same AERO 3 seat is €3.50 by card and €4.90 in cash.
Two of you with bags? A taxi to Ibiza Town is around €14–15 on the meter, so a pair travelling together splits the difference.
⚠️ The traps (walk past these)
The L10 no longer exists
On 1 April 2026 Alsa took over the island's buses and scrapped the old numbering: the L10 to Ibiza Town, the L9 to Sant Antoni and the L24 to Santa Eulària are gone, replaced by AERO 1–5 plus new T, A, U and D lines. The launch was chaotic enough that Alsa publicly admitted route-name and timetable confusion, and plenty of guides still print the old numbers.
Do this: look for AERO signs at the airport stop and check the live schedule on alsaibiza.es, not a saved L-number timetable
Cash costs you 40% more
On every AERO line the single ticket is cheaper by card: €3.50 by card or QR against €4.90 in cash on AERO 2, 3 and 5, and €4.00 against €5.60 on AERO 1 and 4. The bus takes contactless bank cards and QR codes bought on alsaibiza.es or the Mobi4U app.
Do this: pay with a contactless bank card or a QR ticket, and keep cash as a last resort only
The AERO 3 only goes to Ibiza Town
It is the town express, not an island bus. Sant Antoni is AERO 1, Santa Eulària and Es Canar are AERO 4, and Platja d'en Bossa is AERO 5. Boarding the wrong AERO line means a long ride in the wrong direction before you can turn round.
Do this: match the AERO number to your resort before you board — the numbers are posted at the stop
Taxis here are metered, not flat-rate
There is no fixed airport price. The meter runs at €1.21/km by day and €1.47/km at night and on holidays, with a €4.00 service start (€3.75 at night), a €2.00 airport supplement and €1.45 for a phone or app booking. Drivers who offer a flat 'airport rate' at the kerb are not using the tariff.
Do this: take a taxi only from the signed rank, insist the meter runs, and ask for the bill
The night Discobús is seasonal and separate
The D lines run only in the summer season, roughly midnight to 06:30, and are priced separately from the day network — €3.00 by card against €4.20 in cash on D1 and D2. Outside the season, or before midnight, the D lines do not run at all.
Do this: check the season dates before you plan a night out around the Discobús, and pay by card if it is running
